Currently, North Idaho, like Washington, is on Pacific standard time in the winter, and Pacific daylight time in the summer. Southern Idaho, from “ Time Zone Bridge” in Riggins to the south, is on Mountain time, and changes to Mountain daylight time in the summers.
Since Denver, Colorado and Boise, Idaho currently have equivalent time zones, you can call someone during your normal hours and it will be the same time in Boise, ID as it is in Denver, CO. This will be between 7AM – 11PM their time, since Boise, Idaho is in the same time zone as Denver, Colorado.

BOISE, Idaho — Legislation that would have exempted Idaho from daylight saving time has stalled in the Idaho House of Representatives. Idaho residents would not have to fall back or spring ahead each year under House Bill 358. The measure was brought forward by Republican Rep. Christy Zito.
The causes for these states to observe multiple time zones range from geographic, socio-political, to economic reasons. Most of Alaska observes the Alaska Standard Time; the Aleutian Islands use the Hawaii-Aleutian Standard Time.
