Equipping and Using the Lantern
In-game, hold L1 or LB to open up the weapon wheel. The lantern can be found in the melee slot, the same location where your knife is. On the image above, you can see it with a red line. You can use R2 or RT to switch through the slots where you’ll find the lantern.
Hold the L1 button to bring up the radial menu and push R1 twice to bring up the Horse menu. At the bottom of the menu is the outfits option, so use L2 and R2 to scroll between your clothes and release the L1 button to instantly change into them.
You can get a free Horse Brush in the Chapter 2 mission: Exit Pursued by a Bruised Ego. The Horse Brush will be given to you by the Stable owner upon purchasing a horse from him — this is all part of the mission, so go to the Exit Pursued by a Bruised Ego if you are having problems.
The lantern should, according to Rockstar, be available from the beginning. You only have to hold the weapon wheel with L1 (PS4) / LB (XBox), then select the knife. … If you can not find the lantern on the above path, get in line with your horse so you can open the horse inventory (does not open it).
You just can’t keep it. You drop it automatically whenever you unequip it.
Where to find the best horse. You will find Lake Isabella in the western Grizzlies in the state of Ambarino — the snowy, mountainous area in the far northwest corner of Red Dead Redemption 2’s map. The white Arabian horse hangs out on the western bank of the lake.
Of all the Arabian Horses, The White Arabian Horse is the only elite horse that can be found in the wild instead of having to be purchased, saving you a thousand dollars. You can find this special horse on the northwestern side of Lake Isabella in Grizzlies West. Fast Travel to Strawberry and ride north.
After you complete (well, technically, just start) Hosea’s “Exit Pursued by a Bruised Ego” mission during Chapter 2, you’ll have access to stables in most towns you visit — they’re marked with a horseshoe icon on your map. Stables, as you’d expect, are where you go for your horses and horse-related needs.
The best free horse in Red Dead Redemption 2 is the Arabian horse with a white coloured coat. It’s ever so slightly lower in health and stamina than the two Arabians mentioned above, but it’s still a superb option, and is available at just one location in the game: in the wild, up in the north-western part of the map.
Start with a mane comb or brush at the bottom of the strands and brush downward in sections until you can smoothly comb from the top to the bottom. When brushing the tail, stand to one side and pull the tail gently over to you, making sure you are out of the way should the horse kick.
Upon doing so, you follow him into her “den” which is a dark cave full of her previous meals. And, naturally, you split up and Winton dies. However, once you go outside, his horse is still there. … You can not shoot this horse, the game does not allow it.
