All about the ancient tribes
Feeding a horse will make it easier to tame. They will eat wheat, hay bales, sugar, apples, bread, golden carrots, and golden apples. Mules are not found naturally in Minecraft. Instead, you can breed one using a horse and a donkey.
You don’t technically need a saddle to tame a horse. You do need a saddle to ride the horse after you’ve tamed it, though. If you skip this step, you’ll still be able to lead the horse around and breed it, and sit on its back without controlling it. Saddles cannot be crafted.
Use relaxation techniques to train your horse.
Steps to Tame and Ride a Horse
In Minecraft, a saddle is an item that you can not make with a crafting table or furnace. Instead, you need to find and gather this item in the game. Most commonly, a saddle can be found inside a chest in a dungeon or Nether Fortress or you can catch a saddle while fishing.
Chests cannot be placed on horses in Minecraft; they can be placed, however, on donkeys, mules, and llamas by using (typically right clicking) a chest on one of these three types of creatures.

Look at his ears
To know if your horse loves you, you have to learn how to observe and interpret the movements and positions of his ears. If he has loose and relaxed ears around you, it’s a sign that he feels comfortable with you. Another positive sign is that the horse keeps its ears slightly back when being ridden.
Horses are able to form companionship attachments not only to their own species, but with other animals as well, including humans. In fact, many domesticated horses will become anxious, flighty, and hard to manage if they are isolated.
