The first incas
Inti was the most important Inca god as he was the god of the Sun and the patron of empire and conquest. His home of plenty was also the destination in the next life for those who lived good lives in this one.
The Incas considered their king, the Sapa Inca, to be the “son of the sun.”
The Inca emperors were known by different titles, including, Sapa Inca (‘Unique Inca’), Capac Apu, and Intip Cori. The traditional list of Inca rulers includes eighteen emperors, all of which were descended from the original Inca tribe.

After years of preliminary exploration and military skirmishes, 168 Spanish soldiers under conquistador Francisco Pizarro, his brothers, and their indigenous allies captured the Sapa Inca Atahualpa in the 1532 Battle of Cajamarca.
The Inca Empire was a federalist system which consisted of a central government with the Inca at its head and four quarters, or suyu: Chinchay Suyu (northwest), Antisuyu (northeast), Kuntisuyu (southwest), and Qullasuyu (southeast). The four corners of these quarters met at the center, Cusco.
The Incas treated their conquered people by sending loyal Inca citizens to live with them if they were bad. The bad feeling within the Aztec were that the people were forced to give money to the Aztec, young men were forced dragged off to be sacrificed to their God which helped the Spaniards over thown their king.
There are no Incans alive today that are entirely indigenous; they were mostly wiped out by the Spanish who killed them in battle or by disease.
After all, He-Who-Sees-Everything was a servant of the Sapa Inca, and the marriages he was arranging were for the good of the empire.

The execution of Atahuallpa, the last free reigning emperor, marked the end of 300 years of Inca civilization. In 1532, Atahuallpa’s army defeated the forces of his half-brother Huascar in a battle near Cuzco. Atahuallpa was consolidating his rule when Pizarro and his 180 soldiers appeared.
