The film, directed by Lucas, was in production for four years, with scenes shot in Tunisia and Death Valley, California, and on soundstages in England. When it was released on May 25, 1977, Star Wars (later retitled Star Wars: Episode IV—A New Hope) met with runaway success.
The first film released, Star Wars (1977), is the fourth film chronologically and was later subtitled Episode IV – A New Hope. The saga begins with Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace (1999) and concludes with Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker (2019).

Lucas had written a single epic story that encompassed the entire original trilogy, but that script was too burdensome to turn into a single movie. Instead, he split his script into three parts.
Disney now has the ability to release the unaltered versions of the original Star Wars trilogy, but it probably won’t happen. Undoubtedly, the biggest entertainment story in the early part of 2019 was the completion of Disney’s acquisition of Fox, which closed earlier this week.
The first Star Wars movie was originally released as Star Wars and didn’t have the Episode IV: A NEW HOPE in it, that didn’t happen until after the movie became successful so George Lucas decided to change the original film to Episode IV and release the other two as 5 and 6 because that’s how Lucas wanted to do it but
For our purposes here, we’re only considering the nine (to date) live-action theatrical films. The best way to watch the Star Wars films is in release order: A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi, The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones, Revenge of the Sith, The Force Awakens, and The Last Jedi.
So the order is: The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones, Revenge of the Sith, A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi, The Force Awakens, The Last Jedi and then The Rise of Skywalker.
Return of the Jedi (1983) Yoda then peacefully dies at the age of 900, his body disappearing as he becomes “one with the Force”.
Is Baby Yoda actually Yoda? Obviously, The Child isn’t really a younger Yoda – The Mandalorian is set after 1983’s Return of the Jedi, in which Yoda died – and it’s currently unknown if he bears any relation to him at all other than being from the same species.

Boba Fett, an unaltered clone of the famed Mandalorian bounty hunter Jango Fett, was a human male bounty hunter whose career spanned decades, from the fall of the Galactic Republic to the rise of the Galactic Empire.
He didn’t know she existed as his daughter. He didn’t know about Luke at that point, either. Furthermore, Leia didn’t establish a connection to the Force until much later, so it’s quite conceivable that she could have easily hidden. Vader learned that Leia was his daughter by sensing it from Luke in Return of the Jedi.
Anakin’s father is The Emperor. Palpatine manipulated the Midi-chlorians inside of Shmi’s womb to create Anakin.
Star Wars creator George Lucas says he sold the franchise to Disney as he wanted to spend time with his family and raise his daughter. Lucas created the Star Wars universe with the original movie, released in 1977.
