The 2020 MLB trade deadline is at 4 p.m. ET on Monday, Aug. 31. It was pushed back from its usual July date to account for the 60-game MLB season.
Major League Baseball has cancelled the remainder of its Spring Training games, also announcing that the start of the 2020 regular season will be delayed by at least two weeks due to the national emergency created by the coronavirus pandemic.

In a typical season, the Trade Deadline almost always* falls at 4 p.m. ET on July 31 and is the last point during the regular season at which players can be traded from one club to another.
Three MiLB clubs will make their Major League -affiliated debut in 2021: the St. Paul Saints (Triple-A – Minnesota Twins); the Somerset Patriots (Double-A – New York Yankees); and the Sugar Land Skeeters (Triple-A – Houston Astros).
Minor League Baseball’s 2020 season has been canceled, the league announced Tuesday. The announcement came after MLB informed its affiliated MiLB teams that it would not be providing players in 2020. Some minor league teams have been getting creative to make money during the sports shut down.

Everyone else in the table is early in a long-term contract and has a lot of money coming to them in 2021 and beyond. On the other side of the salary spectrum, the league minimum was $563,500 this season, and the vast majority of players are making close to that figure.
