Epic Games have announced the PvE Fortnite mode, Save the World, will no longer be offered free to play in the future. Since the successful launch of Fortnite Battle Royale, Epic have concentrated on the Battle Royale mode, leaving Save the World full of bugs and unhappy players.
Unlike Fortnite Battle Royale, Save The World will not be a free to play experience with Epic Games deciding to keep that part of the game a premium product. With the release new content development will be slowed down for the game.
Players who don’t own the Founders Pack but still want the exclusive skins can still purchase the pack to receive them before the Save the World mode becomes free-to-play later this year.
While Fortnite definitely has a major aspect of teamwork to it, there is also the option to play by yourself. Apex Legends has a much larger focus on teamwork, and pairs you with a squad before going into the game. This focus on teamwork means that the team strategy of Apex Legends definitely has the edge.
Fortnite Save The World is 100% worth it if you love the Fortnite realm. It still feels like Fortnite, but with a twist. If you can snag Save The World on sale, we highly recommend picking it up!
All currently available Founders Packs will continue to reward V – Bucks in place of X-Ray Tickets when doing daily quests, missions alerts, and from daily login rewards. This change will have no impact on any player who is currently classified as a Save the World founder.
Is Save the World coming to Android devices? No, we currently do not have any plans to bring Save the World to mobile devices.
“Development of new content will slow down after this official release, but the adventure doesn’t end here for Save the World.” Epic is keen to stress that Save the World isn’t dead, although future Battle Royale cosmetics may not work with the PvE game mode.
